Classroom Community Activity
Puzzle "Peaces" Activity is great for the beginning of the school year or even when you just need to have that classroom community feeling again! This is a lesson that helps create classroom unity and acceptance among students.
Definitely appropriate for any age classroom K-12!
After addressing with students about the importance of diversity, each of them design a puzzle piece that symbolizes or describes what makes them unique and special. Working together, the students build the puzzle house and create a beautiful decoration to hang in the classroom.
If you are looking for a first day of school activity, beginning of the school year activity or just a way to support your classroom management during the school year, this is the activity you need! It brings the class together and allows students to reflect on themselves and what makes them special and unique.
I use this at the beginning of every school year as it helps build a classroom community and allows me to learn more about each student. This activity also allows for students to learn about each other! It's fun and hands-on!
