Maniac Magee Book in a Bottle
This project can be completed by students either while they read the story or after completion of Maniac Magee.
There are 6 bottles altogether; 3 for characters and 3 for setting. Students are required to choose characters from Maniac Magee that were significant to the story and think about their character traits, how they visualized them in the story as well as how the character has changed throughout the story.
When thinking about setting, students will think about the importance of the place Maniac Magee went and how each place was significant to the story.
There are 4 Labels included.
Students use the labels to complete a character map for Maniac Magee, they will demonstrate theme, their favorite part of the story and their review of the novel. There is also a label that wraps around the handle of the soda carrier.
**Soda carrier NOT included. Soda carriers are available (for free) from Whole Foods and local grocery stores.**
Maniac Magee Character Map
As part of the culmination of the novel, I created this Character Map for the main character, Maniac Magee. Students can either work together or separately to create this map. It makes for a great bulletin board as well!
